Mr. Brian Johnson

With 20 years of teaching under his belt, Mr. Johnson comes to First Avenue Middle School with a passion to tell great stories and create future theater-makers and theater-goers. He has an undergraduate degree in Communications from Biola University and a Masters Degree in Theater (Production and Design) from Southern Oregon University. He has directed and produced over 200 productions in the last 20 years including musicals, plays, devised-work, immersive productions, and site-sympathetic work. He is the Co-Artistic Director (with his wife, Callie) of the non-profit theater company, The Electric Company Theatre (www.electricompanytheatre.org), which is the resident theater company at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. He hopes that you will come be a part of our company at First Avenue Theatre and think, learn, and grow.
